A couple of months ago I got an Aero Garden Herb Growing Kit for my birthday. This is a hydroponics growing system for plants! Since January I’ve had to harvest my Aero Garden multiple times a month. The plants are growing so quickly I can barely keep up with them and I don’t know what to do with all of the herbs! So I decided to make this herb crusted chicken which features most of the herbs I grew. So many different flavors and ranging from the bitter and sour dill to oniony chives, this will be an adventure, so let’s get started!




  1. Combine all the herbs, garlic, 4 Tbsp salt, and breadcrumbs into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of the oil to the breadcrumbs and set the rest of the oil to the side.
  3. Mix the breadcrumbs thoroughly and set to the side.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. While the oven is preheating, set your chicken breast out and season generously with salt.
  6. Let the chicken sit for about 10 minutes to allow the salt to absorb for a better tasting product.
  7. Once the chicken breast is done sitting, pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  8. Rub the chicken breast with the rest of the oil and place onto a half sheet pan.
  9. Coat the oil covered chicken breast with the bread crumbs generously.
  10. Place the chicken into the oven and let cook until its interior reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This should take 20 minutes depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts! Once cooked, enjoy your herb crusted chicken breasts!
