Some of you may be getting my posts and loving the recipes (I hope), but may be wondering what Fooding Around is all about. Here are my ideas on what this blog will embody.
Fooding Around is a blog inspired by my passion for Southern-style cooking, family, and lifestyle. I’d like to give y’all a modernized recipe of traditional southern foods each week that you can make with your family. It might occasionally be something exquisite and fancy, but on the other hand, could be a quick and easy recipe. The big idea is that I’d like to start inducing family bonding and a passion for food.
Food brings everyone together. From Thanksgiving and Christmas to Easter and Independence Day, massive meals bring not only immediate family together, but friends and extended family as well. Teaching your kids to cook is one of the best skills you could give them in life. It will bring you closer to your children, help them grow, and help prepare them for their future life.
My girlfriend, Anaka, and I started this blog to do just that, and I hope that you will share some of these recipes; and if not these recipes then some of your family’s. Just remember that food is here for just a minute, but the skill of cooking will last a lifetime.
In closing I’d just like to say thank you to all who have supported me and this blog, I couldn’t do this without you guys! I also wanted to say a special thank you to one person, my girlfriend, Anaka, without whom this blog would be very grammatically incorrect!
Hope you join me again every Tuesday for a brand new recipe!
